Document Legalisation requirements for Afghanistan
Please be aware: Due to the Taliban regime taking over Afghanistan in 2021, legalisation services for documents destined for Afghanistan are currently unavailable until further notice.
Documents require Notarisation
Documents require FCDO Apostille: The document first needs to be legalised by the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) through an Apostille.
Documents require Afghanistan Consulate Attestation: Following the Apostille, the document is then submitted to the Consulate of Afghanistan for further attestation.
Multiple documents under one notarial certificate are accepted (bundled)
